Jose Mourinho called the semi final game where they scrapped through a tie as the biggest game in club history and there’s no doubt the significance of this match as United needs to win the final to guarantee the Champions League football next season.
The tournament has been exclusively broadcasting to fee-paying viewers up until now but BT have taken the decision to broadcast the Europa League and Champions League finals for free.
Jose Mourinho, who led a minute’s silence for the victims of the bomb blast, said the people of Manchester would be in his team’s ‘hearts and minds’ during the final.
“We are all very sad about the tragic events; we cannot take out of our minds and our hearts the victims and their families,” said Mourinho.
“We have a job to do and we will fly to Sweden to do that job. It is a pity we cannot fly with the happiness that we always have before a big game.
“I know, even during my short time here, that the people of Manchester will pull together as one.”
