Everything You Need to Know About Steelers Training Camp 2023
Now that we no longer need to ask the question, “Who will the Steelers draft in 2023? ” it’s time for training camp, where we get a first look at rookies and newly acquired players. We see position battles and get a feel for what this season’s roster will look like. It’s time to get excited Steeler Nation…..Here are the major position battles to watch for this year:
Strong Safety: Dmontae Kazee vs Keanu Neal
Starting Left Tackle: Broderick Jones vs Dan Moore Jr.
Defensive Back: Levi Wallace vs Joey Porter Jr.
Where is Steelers Training Camp 2023?
The Steelers have a long-standing tradition of holding their training camp at Saint Vincent College. In fact, this will be the 56th time they have held their off-season workouts there, so it is undoubtedly a home away from home.
Saint Vincent College is located in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, and was founded in 1846. It is about an hour and 15 minutes southeast of Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.
What are the Dates for Steelers Training Camp?
Wednesday, July 26 is the date that all players must report for training camp, however, the team’s first practice is not until the following day. The first practice which will be held on Thursday, July 27, will be open to the public.
Other notable dates are the first padded practice on August 1st and Friday Night Lights three days later on the 4th. The final practice that is open to the public is Thursday, August 17.
Do You Need Tickets to Go to Steeler Training Camp?
Entry into open practices is complimentary for Steelers Nation, although participants are required to have a mobile ticket. Initial ticket allocation will be offered to season ticket holders and waitlist members through Ticketmaster at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. ET, respectively, on Tuesday, June 27.
Any remaining tickets for the general public will be made accessible via Ticketmaster at 12 p.m. ET on the same day, June 27.

It hasn’t been a particularly wild off-season for the Steelers so far, but there have been some moves. Here’s a quick overview:

Last season the Steelers went 9-8, which wasn’t bad with a rookie quarterback and injuries in every direction. Now that Pickett has real playing time under his belt and we have a healthy TJ Watt, what could the Steelers’ 2023 season look like?
