Hibernia Bar is a sports bar and Irish pub at 401 W 50th St, on the corner of 9th Ave in Hell’s Kitchen, with 6 HDTVs, a projection screen and TVs out on the patio. We’ve been pouring pints and showing games here since 2008.

It’s a local first. Some nights you’re here for the final whistle, some nights the game is on in the background while you catch up with friends. Either way, you’ll get a perfectly poured Guinness and a bartender who’s glad you came in.

Which teams does Hibernia Bar show?

We show NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and plenty from overseas, but a few teams call this room home. Each has its own page with what to expect on game day:

• Steelers: we’re the Steelers’ home in NYC, with game sound and the anthems on.
• GAA: Gaelic football and hurling for the Irish crowd.
• Soccer: Premier League and Champions League, with a big Man United following.
• Mets: baseball nights all summer.
• Rangers: hockey on the big screens.

Screens, sound and an outdoor patio

Between the 6 HDTVs and the projection screen, you won’t be squinting at a corner set. We put the game sound on for the matches that matter, and the patio has its own TVs, so on a warm night you can watch outside.

The walls are covered in signed jerseys and memorabilia, and the crowd is a mix of diehards and folks who just like a lively room. You’ll fit in either way.

Late-night food in Hell’s Kitchen: kitchen open till 2am

Plenty of bars have TVs. Fewer will feed you properly at 1am. Our kitchen stays open until 2am every night, and we’ll say it plainly: we think we have the best wings in Hell’s Kitchen. Come and judge for yourself.

Game-day favorites from the menu include:

• Buffalo wings ($15)
• Sirloin T Burger ($17) and Smash Burger ($18)
• Nachos, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, flatbreads and fries
• Irish classics: fish & chips ($20), shepherd’s pie ($18), bangers & mash ($17.95)

Pints, Irish whiskey and happy hour

On draught you’ll find Guinness, Smithwicks, Stella, Brooklyn Lager, Blue Moon, Goose Island IPA and more. The Irish whiskey shelf runs from Jameson and Powers to Redbreast and Knappogue.

Happy hour runs Monday to Friday, 4 to 6pm, with $6 select drinks. A good way to settle in before an evening game.
