It’s already special when the world comes together every four years to decide the winner of the World Cup, but this time will be different. It has always been held in the northern hemisphere between May and July. The 2022 FIFA World Cup is being hosted by Qatar. June in Qatar has daily temperatures of 105°F to 107°F, making it too hot for tournament play, so the dates were moved for more accommodating temperatures.
FIFA World Cup 2022
The FIFA World Cup 2022 is being hosted by Qatar. The tournament begins with Group A matchup, Qatar Vs Ecuador. The match will be held at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar on Sunday, November 20.

2022 FIFA World Cup Groups
There are eight groups, listed A through H. 32 teams will play including 13 from Europe, five from Africa, four each from North America, South America, and Asia as well as host nation Qatar.
The USA (along with Canada and Mexico) earned one of Confederation of North, Central America, and Caribbean Association Football’s three automatic berths in the tournament.
FIFA World Cup Group B
USA is part of group B along with England, Wales, and Iran. Group B will play its first match on Monday, November 21. USA faces Wales at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in AL Rayyan, Qatar. Additionally, England plays Iran on the 21st at 8 AM. On November 25, Wales faces Iran at 5 AM, while England plays the USA at 5 PM. Then, on November 29, Wales plays England a 2 PM and the USA faces Iran at the same time.

USA
The USA is currently ranked 16th by FIFA. They qualified by clinching the last spot in the CONCACAF. They have appeared at the World Cup nine times but never won.
England
England is ranked fifth and the favorite in this group. They have won one World Cup title in their fifteen appearances. Expect a show from Harry Kane, Jordan Pickford, and Raheem Sterling as they hope to bring their nation a second title.
Wales
19th ranked Wales has only appeared in the World Cup once before and has never won. Coach Rob Page is hoping this squad can change all of that.
Iran
Iran is ranked 20th and has appeared in the World Cup five times. There is some question as to what will happen because Ukraine has asked for Iran to be removed from the World Cup. Only time will tell how that will play out.
